Terms of Service

1. Content Guidelines

   You are solely responsible for the content you share on snips.sh, and you represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights to do so. Please only share content that you have written yourself or that are in the public domain. snips.sh reserves the right to remove any content that violates these guidelines or is otherwise objectionable.

2. License of Content

   In order to provide the snips.sh service, we require a legal right to host, publish, and share your content. By using the service, you grant us and our legal successors a limited license to store, archive, display, and make incidental copies of your content for the sole purpose of providing the service, including improving it over time. This license also permits us to copy your content to our database, make backups, show it to you and other users, parse it into a search index or otherwise analyze it on our servers, share it with other users, and perform it, if your content is in the form of music or video. We will not use your content for any purpose other than providing the service, and we will not share it with any third party without your explicit consent, except as required by law.

   When you post user-generated content publicly, it can be viewed by others. By choosing to make your content publicly viewable, you agree that other users may view your content and that you are granting each user of the service (as well as snips.sh itself) a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to:

   a. use, display, and perform your content solely through the service

   b. use such content to study and/or create products and services for their own use, but not to redistribute or republish your content outside of the service without your separate permission.

   We will not use or share your content for any purpose other than providing the snips.sh service, except as required by law.

3. User Conduct

   You agree to use snips.sh only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of any third party. You also agree not to:

   a. Use snips.sh to transmit or distribute any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another’s privacy, or otherwise objectionable;

   b. Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity;

   c. Interfere with or disrupt snips.sh or servers or networks connected to snips.sh, or disobey any requirements, procedures, policies or regulations of networks connected to snips.sh;

   d. Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion or feature of snips.sh, or any other systems or networks connected to snips.sh or to any snips.sh server, or to any of the services offered on or through snips.sh, by hacking, password “mining” or any other illegitimate means; and

   e. Harass, annoy, intimidate or threaten any snips.sh employees, agents or other users.

4. Disclaimer of Warranties

   snips.sh is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, and we make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, as to the operation of snips.sh, the content, information, materials, or products included on snips.sh, or the availability, accuracy, or reliability of snips.sh. You use snips.sh at your own risk.

5. Limitation of Liability

   To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We will not be liable for any damages of any kind arising from the use of snips.sh, including, but not limited to, direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, and consequential damages.

6. Indemnification

   You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless snips.sh and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors from any claim, demand, or damage, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, asserted by any third party due to or arising out of your use of or conduct on snips.sh.

7. Modification

   We reserve the right to modify these terms of service at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of snips.sh after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms of service.
